The City of Gosnells has utilised Mineral Magic as part of the rehabilitation process of the grassed amphitheatre at Centennial Pioneer Park, and the recently upgraded grass surface at the Administration Gardens on Albany Highway Gosnells. As a result the City has stipulated Mineral Magic as part of the 'in-ground' soil amendment specifications for the Gosnells Oval and Mary Carroll Park refurbishment projects. The City is happy with the results to date, and is proud to be supporting a WA based product in its ongoing mission of supplying high quality parks, sporting fields and garden areas, in conjunction with reducing water usage and improving nutrient uptake and soil structure.
The use of amorphous silica (Mineral Magic) is nothing new in the soil amendment regime of some of the world's most famous golf courses including;
|Root Rot, Brown patch, Dollar Spot
|Bipolaris Leaf Spot
|Grey Leaf Spot
|Grey Leaf Spot
Another of the parts required in achieving the best amended soil for turfgrass production is an organic in the form of compost or manure.
In all field trials and reconstructions we have witnessed;
The most distinctive evidence of this was the water holding capacity, rhizosphere (root) biomass and the Fungal/Bacteria ratio. ( As tested with microBIOMETER® )
Using a soil amendment like Mineral Magic, when planting trees and shrubs can offer several benefits, especially during the hot Australian summers.
Attributes such as soil moisture and nutrient retention, increased root development and reduced transpiration can increase the survival rate of trees and shrubs and also reduced the high costs of hand-watering.
