Hanging baskets are drying out so quick with our warm and windy days. We found ourselves watering them each and every day of the week as just one day of being dry can have disastrous consequences for our delicate Maidenhair ferns (Adiantum tenerum).
The maidenhair fern needs a rich and organic type of soil that drains very well. The best mixture should retain plenty of water in between watering. Mixing our potting mix with generous amounts of Mineral Magic did the job!
Not only don't we need to water every day anymore, the ferns are beautiful and grow amazingly fast.
