If you are mixing Mineral Magic with pots or hanging baskets or just garden planting, use our "Mix Calculator" and simply;

1. Enter the amount of soil you are mixing in litres
2. Enter the amount of Mineral Magic as a % (eg 1 cup of Mineral Magic in 10 cups of soil would be 10%) - Suggested rates 5-20%
3. Click the button and your answer will appear in red.
If the cost is different from the pre-set - you can change that as well.
Don't forget to water it well then cut back your water intervals!

This is a PERMANENT treatment so divide the cost by the 2/3 annual treatments you would normally make a year and the cost is significantly lower!

2. Enter the amount of Mineral Magic (MM) in grams per square metre (gr/m²) - See "Recommended Rates" below

Gardens

500gm / m2 (raked, cultivated or hoed in)
Pots/Tree planting etc ‐ Between 5% and 20% of soil mix (more for sand, less for loam and clay soils)

Lawns

New lawns prior to planting, seeding or turfing ‐ 500gm / m2 (raked, cultivated or hoed in to 100mm)
Existing lawns ‐ the capacity is still 500gm / m2 but best do it in multiple applications eg, 2 x 250gm / m2
Minimum application ‐ 100gm / m2

Hydroponics

In most cases, the 5‐10mm chip is used entirely as a 100% growing medium ‐ nothing else is required
It can be mixed to enhance other mediums such as coco-peat. Common ratios vary from 10% ‐40%
Rinse thoroughly before use.
Medium is totally reusable.
